Bridging Cultures Dyptichon
This series is dedicated to South African women of different cultures. To make them visible through a series in minimalist, abstract, contemporary visual language.
These women carry the social fabric, with pride, radiance, femininity, strengh and responsibility, connected to Mother Earth, connected to the place they live, connected to their land. Each main work is accompanied by a partner image that remains purely abstract. Thus a dyptich emerges: the central portrait figure and a corresponding partner image that functions as a contemporary ancillary element, presenting the main figure in a dialogic context. Which symbolices their landscape, the place they live, the place which makes them strong.
